Zainab Mahmoud Suleiman

Secretary of the Research Department

Zainab Mahmoud Suleiman is a third-year law student at the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Currently, she holds the position of Secretary of the Research Department at The Tax Club, ABU Zaria. Zainab’s diverse interests include product design, ADR, taxation, literature, and IP law.

Embracing the philosophy that an idle mind is a devil’s workshop, she actively engages in continuous learning and studying to avoid idleness. Zainab’s worst nightmare is to be idle, and she is committed to equipping herself with as much knowledge as possible, recognizing the abundance of knowledge in the world.

Daniel Chisom

Social Media Officer

Daniel Chisom, a 300L student in the Department of Biochemistry at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, is not only dedicated to his academic pursuits but also demonstrates enthusiasm towards taxation. He is an active member and holds the position of social media Officer in The Tax Club ABU chapter.

Agu Faith

Agu Faith is a student at the faculty of Business School, department of Economics, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. She has interest in taxation, its practices and regulatory frameworks. Her dream is to work with FIRS when she finally graduated from the University. She also has interest in fashion designing industry.

She believes that honesty is the best form of character that could be possessed by any human being. This believes is what guide her conduct and behavior when dealing and interacting with others.

Salami Ashawu

Salami Ashawu, is a seasoned individual in the field of Insurance, she’s a 400-level insurance student at Ahmadu Bello university, Zaia. Ashawu possess analytical skills, risk management, and underwriting, she is proficient in tools such as Excel, Power-BI, Google Sheets, and SQL.

Outside the professional realm, Ashawu engages in diverse hobbies, including a passion for learning new things, cooking, reading, and enjoying movies.

Raji Nafisat Abdulwaliyu

Assistant Head of Research

Raji Nafisat Abdulwaliyu, is a part four law student at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. She holds the position of Assistant Head of Research at The Tax Club, ABU.

Her interests cut across Arbitration, Taxation, and Legal Drafting. Writing is her way of expressing my thoughts and finding solace.

Obashola Mohammed Olawale

Program Director

Obashola Mohammed Olawale, is a final year student of Accounting with keen interest in finance and fiscal matters. He is the incumbent Program Director of Tax Club, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Rafiat Rufai

Head of Welfare Department

Rafiat Rufai is a penultimate law student at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, who is working towards a career in technology and IP law. She has experience as a legal intern and a volunteer.

She is an active member of selected clubs and societies. Currently, she is the Head of Welfare Department, The Tax Club, ABU and director of programs, Advocate Chambers, ABU.

Victor Anyirigwo

Director of ICT and Data

Victor Anyirigwo is a final year student of the Department of Accounting, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Of great interest to him is the field of Taxation where he intends to contribute greatly to tax policy-making and tax administration by leveraging on insights obtained from reliable data. This desire spurred him to become a student member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and to undergo training on data analysis which is the basis of his current position as Director of ICT and Data of The Tax Club, ABU Zaria.

Among his several academic and professional achievements is his emergence as the 1st runner-up at the 2nd edition of Accounting League. He believes that consistency and efficiency will yield optimal benefit.

Ifeanyi Osondu

Head of the Research Department

Ifeanyi Osondu, a 400-level Economics student at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, possesses a profound passion for Taxation, Finance, and Economics, coupled with excellent writing skills. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Ifeanyi has garnered various recognitions, recommendations, and appointments both within and outside the campus.

Currently serving as the Head of the Research Department at The Tax Club ABU Zaria, Ifeanyi is driven by the desire to witness young people grow, thrive, and stand out in this competitive world. His guiding watchword is, ‘The world is watching!’.

Ali Hassan Hassan

Secretary General

Ali Hassan Hassan is a penultimate law student at the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Ali Hassan is an active student researcher and He has passion for corporate practice, in the field of taxation, corporate management and blockchain.

Currently, Ali Hassan is holding the position of Secretary General at the Club, he utilizes this role to deepen his knowledge and gain practical experience in taxation and management. Ali Hassan aspires to pursue a career as a corporate lawyer, specializing in his areas of interest.

Alli Basit Temitope

Head of the Media and Publicity

Alli Basit Temitope is a 300-level accounting student at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Currently serving as the Head of the Media and Publicity department at the Club, he also held this position in the previous administration.

His goal for joining the club is to gain knowledge from experienced and knowledgeable tax professionals. Basit seeks insights in all aspects of tax compliance and implementation through his active involvement in the club.
